Gas Assist from the Experts at Sajar
The gas assisted process combines the best aspects of structural foam and straight injection.
Why Gas Assist?Gas assist produces many efficiencies – the following are typical results: 30% part savings compared to Structural Foam 20% - 30% tool savings compared to Straight Injection
How it works
Gas assisted injection molding is a low pressure, conventional injection molding process that forces a short shot of material to fill a mold by using pressurized nitrogen gas to displace the material in pre-designed thick areas, while forming hollow sections in the part.
Cost efficienciesBecause of this ingenious process, the following can be achieved: Use less material Smaller press sizes can be used – reducing hourly rates Shorter cycle times – fewer hours on the job Molded-in surface texture – decreased need for costly finishing operations
